On the move
Last time I flew from Great Oakley I had to move four aeroplanes out of the hangar first, get mine out, then put the others back....all before I could fly; then do it all again when I got down. So I wrote to the landlord to ask whether there was an upper limit he had in mind for the number of aeroplanes in the hangar, as I have to move three more than I had to when took up residence 8 months ago and was worried about the potential for hangar rash. His response was rather abrupt and I did wonder if I'd need to find emergency hangarage, as he suggested I might want to go somewhere else.
It wasn't notice, exactly, but I felt it wise to look elsewhere just in case anyway, and am pleased to say that I have found a hangar where I will probably only have to move one other aeroplane and the landlord seems a decent bloke. It is rather a basic set-up, with only one runway, but it is closer to home and cheaper. I hope I am doing the right thing. Lizzie is skeptical, but we'll just have to see.
Today I flew. I was rusty. I haven't flown for over a month. But it was great to be up again.
